Though Agile is a mess, I have however worked in organizations who have absolutely succeeded with being 'Agile'. The key? focus on what works and stay away from anyting that is 'scaled' agile. The orgs where we have been successful we asked a simple question - Is this Agile? And Agile is in the context and eye of each individual organization, not in the framework you use to 'do' Agile.
